This October marks the 40th anniversary of the UK release of Stanley Kubrick’s seminal psycho drama The Shining. Starring Jack Nicholson and the incredible young Danny Lloyd, the film highlights the pitfalls of isolation and the effects on family and the creative process…sound familiar?
As with all Kubrick films, The Shining was visually immaculate with many memorable shots including the infamous corridor and tricycle scene where the young son (Danny Lloyd) encounters ghostly twins while zipping around the empty hotel in the Rocky Mountains.  Inspired by this, Alan’s latest personal project ‘After Stanley’ portrays twins shot in various deserted London locations, a halloween homage to a celebration that will no doubt feel different and slightly odd this year…along with everything else.
